Looking back on our activities in 2009, it is clear that our services made a difference to individuals with epilepsy. We were able to help them better understand and accept their diagnosis, participate actively in their treatment, and get connected with resources to improve the quality of their lives. Because of EFCNW, people with epilepsy had opportunities to enjoy camp or adult retreat, learn how to be advocates, or hear about the latest research from epilepsy specialists.
Community Outreach and educational programs prepared law enforcement professionals to respond appropriately when called to assist someone having a seizure, Caregivers of older adults learned to recognize the more subtle signs of seizures in their residents. Children and teens received accurate information about epilepsy and the importance of accepting their classmates who have it.
None of thise could have been done without you! Your compassion and generosity is appreciated and needed. Please consider a financial gift to Epilepsy Foundation Central Northeast Wisconsin as we go into our 30th year providing free and quality service to individuals with epilepsy living in our community.
