Camp Phoenix, a summer camp for kids with epilepsy, ages 8 to 17, is a safe, fun, overnight camping experience for children with a primary diagnosis of epilepsy.
This year, Camp Phoenix is
from July 25 – 30, 2010.
Held at the Wisconsin Lions Camp in Rosholt, WI, children enjoy a week of sports, recereation and 'just hanging out' with friends. Because of the special attention to safety and medical care at Lions Camp, it is an opportunity to participate in activities that may be denied to children with epilepsy at other camps. Favorites include tubing, paddleboats, fishing, camp-outs, crafts and the famous "mud pit".
Applications for camp is now available. Contact the Epilepsy Foundation Central Northeast Wisconsin for more information.
